Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 June 2026
Heads up: these terms are a developer-written starting point, not legal advice. Please have them reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on them.
By using the ASKII website, extension, CLI, or the ASKII Cloud subscription (together, the “Services”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
01The software is open source
The ASKII extension and CLI are released under the MIT License. That license governs your rights to use, modify, and redistribute the code. These terms cover the hosted website and the ASKII Cloud service that sit alongside it.
02Subscriptions & billing
- ASKII Cloud is billed on a recurring monthly basis per the plan you select.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Plans may include monthly token allowances and fair-use limits to keep the service healthy.
- Prices may change with reasonable advance notice. Pricing shown on the site is indicative until the subscription is publicly available.
03Acceptable use
- Don’t use the Services to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or generate harmful or abusive content.
- Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or circumvent rate limits and security controls.
- Respect the terms of any third-party model provider you connect (OpenAI, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, opencode Go, etc.).
04Your API keys & third parties
When you configure ASKII with your own provider keys, you’re responsible for those keys, any usage charges they incur, and compliance with that provider’s terms. ASKII stores your keys in your local editor/CLI settings, not on our servers.
05AI output disclaimer
ASKII uses AI models that can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe output, and can take autonomous actions (editing files, running commands, controlling the screen or a browser). You are responsible for reviewing suggestions and confirming actions before relying on them. Keep backups and use version control.
06Warranty & liability
The Services are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or code arising from your use of the Services.
07Intellectual property
The ASKII name, logo, and brand are ours. The source code is licensed under MIT as noted above. You retain ownership of the code and content you create with ASKII.
08Termination
We may suspend or end access to the hosted Services if these terms are breached. You can stop using the Services at any time.
09Changes
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
